Cama Convalescent Home

What is it that attracts Zoroastrian men and women, young and old, to the Bai Shirinbai M. Cama Convalescent Home at 56, Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Road, Ban-dra (West), Bombay 400050?
Is it because of free board and lodging? Is it because a free medical check-up is done every week, with medicines prescribed by a Parsi doctor and charged to the Home? Is it because of its location, fronting the vast expanse of the Arabian Sea? All these factors combined tempt visitors to stay at the Home.
For the first time ever, four young boys and four young girls from Iran made the Home their base during a visit to this country. Also, the influx of families coming from places like Poona, Ahmedabad, Nasik, Navsari and Surat reflects the Home’s growing popularity.
Two of the trustees residing in Bandra visit the Home at least once a week to ensure that the inmates are comfortable.
