Parsiana, 1964 – 2025.

Parsiana was published from Mumbai from November 1964 until its final issue in 2025, reporting on Parsi and Irani Zoroastrian life in India and in the diaspora. It called itself the global Zoroastrian link medium, and for sixty-two years it was the community’s paper of record.

This site is the complete archive: 904 issues and 16,193 articles, free to read and searchable in full. Nothing is behind a subscription. The magazine has closed; the record it kept has not.

Reading it

The archive is browsable by decade and by issue. Search runs over every word ever printed, and can also search by meaning — useful when you know what you are looking for but not what it was called at the time.

Issues before 2002 were scanned from print rather than typeset digitally, and some are still being re-read page by page so that their individual articles can be separated out. Where that work is not yet done, the whole issue’s text is searchable as one record.
