“The enforcers”
"The enforcers” (Editorial Viewpoint, Parsiana, July 21, 2014) was excellent, revealing an up-to-date picture of the unseemly mess (the priests ban) created by the shameless ones amongst the seven Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) trustees.
It is high time some knowledgeable and capable person filed a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) or something akin to it to stop these trustees from further degrading the religion and spoiling the great name and reputation of our tiny community.
Surely, it’s high time most of the BPP trustees are booted out of office. But, before that, let them repay from their pockets into the BPP’s coffers the full amount of around three crore rupees that they have utilized towards the unconscionable and reckless expenditure on needless litigation. The money should instead have been used for the many worthwhile charitable purposes spelt out in the trust deed of the apex trust.
