The deep rot

The horrendous goings-on at the Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) are causing the self-destruction of an old and useful institution.
What religious authority does the BPP have to ban the two priests who perform interfaith marriages from praying at Doongerwadi and the two agiaries which it manages? It is not the priests but some of the trustees who are renegade and have made a bonfire of three crore rupees to fight a case to defend their rabid agenda.
The BPP has a lot to explain and particularly the World Alliance of Parsi Irani Zarthoshtis (WAPIZ) and pro-WAPIZ trustees, for the deep rot. The BPP has degenerated into a dog house. At the June and September 2015 elections, the Parsi electorate must reject the sitting trustees en masse. Why aren’t the trustees accepting the proposed code of conduct for the coming and subsequent elections?
Kaatla khota chhé (the intentions are malafide)! B. T. DASTUR
