The Thana Parsi Zoroastrian Association (TPZA) held its Dae mah jashan at Thana’s Seth Rustomji Cawasji Patel Daremeher on May 21, 2011. Zarsis Udhna­wala, TPZA president, informed Parsiana via an e-mail that this year the Zoroastrians of Thana had an additional treat in store. A Shahnameh recital was organized at the Khan Bahadur Cavasji Divecha Hall (Town Hall) of Thana by Muncherji Cama, managing director of The Bombay Samachar, with the help of Prof Sabar Havewala, an authority on the subject. The evening’s program was greatly enjoyed by those present, as was the gahanbar meal that followed, catered by Ervad Nariman Dalal.
