Pinaz Master scholarships

The Pinaz Xerxes Master Foundation awarded scholarships for the academic year 2007-08 to Parsi/Irani Zoroastrian students from Malcolm Baug, Gul-Dhan-Abad and Meherhomes, situated just outside Malcolm Baug. Those who secured the highest percentage in their faculty were felicitated with certificates and cash prizes at the annual lunch organized by the Malcolm Baug Zoroastrian Association on January 26, 2009, as per a write-up sent to Parsiana by the Foundation.

Dilshad Cherag Cama and Jeneffer Freddy Sopariwala who passed their SSC exams received Rs 3,000 each. Taking home Rs 5,000 each were Khushnam Rustom Mistry (BA), Aspy Rustom Dadabhoy (BCom) and Benafsha Rumy Hansotia (BMM), while Kayan Minoo Siodia received a scholarship of Rs 10,000 for passing the MBBS examination.

The Foundation is associated with various charitable endeavors aimed at the preservation of Zoroastrian culture and heritage, providing scholarships to deserving students and medical aid to numerous poor, needy and ailing persons irrespective of their caste, creed or religion, the write-up states.
