Return of the Nagpur team
The main thrust of the reelected committee for the year 2004-07 would be on developing the land adjacent to the aramgah, announced president Edul F. Bhagwagar whilst thanking the members of the Shree Nagpur and Kamthi Parsi Zarthosti Anjuman for the trust and confidence reposed in him and his office bearers by electing them unopposed. Acknowledging the cooperation and teamwork of his committee, Bhagwagar said his team would strive to provide more aid and amenities to those members who needed it and to maintain and improve the beautiful agiary, aramgah, dharamshala and housing, mentions a press release.
Outlining the activities of the past three years Bhagwagar referred to the repair and restoration of the aramgah, upgrading the amenities at the dharamshala, floodlighting the agiary, undertaking major maintenance work on community housing and supplying water to residents of Tata Baug, states the release.

Besides Bhagwagar the others who were declared reelected by the returning officer Dinyar Talavia at the annual general meeting on March 31, 2004 were vice president Navroz Daver, honorary secretary Yezdi D. Bhagwagar, honorary treasurer Shiraz Doongaji, lady member Meheroo Watchmaker, and members at large Dr Firoze Bharda, Rusi Godha, Narges Desai, Dinshaw Mistry, Homi Kavarana, Adil Bharucha and Jamshed Cassad. The nominated members announced by the honorary secretary were: Gev Avari, Rhoda Patel, Shiraz Gimi, Minoo Daruwalla, Navroze F. Bhagwagar and Rustom Hormusjee.
"All the office bearers of the Anjuman are deeply involved with the welfare of the 600 strong Parsi community. Each of them is easily approachable and open to ideas that would help the community,” notes the press release giving a brief introduction to the office bearers: President Bhagwagar has been on the managing committee of the Anjuman for the past 31 years. He comes from a pioneering business family who owned the Bhagwagar Ice Factory and Cold Storage and he also has interests in real estate and construction, mines and minerals. Daver has been on the managing committee for the past eight years. Professionally he is the managing director of the Maharashtra State Handloom Corporation. Yezdi Bhagwagar had served as assistant secretary of the Anjuman for 22 years before he took over as honorary secretary. He is involved in the family business of Darab Cawasji and Sons. Controlling the finances of the Anjuman with drive and determination is Doongaji who is partner in Handy Wires and Steel Wool, the only ISO 9002 certified company for steel wool. Watchmaker too has many years of experience on the managing committee and is a committed community member. She single-handedly ran a successful printing press.
