Listed in Nagpur
Over six hundred individuals from 223 households feature in the revised Directory of the Nagpur Parsis which was brought out in 2002. Besides giving the names and age of the family members, also furnished are their residence and office address, residence and office telephone numbers and e-mail contacts. The blood group of all the adult members is listed twice — alongside their names as also a second time when individuals have been named under their respective blood groups.
Except in the case of one family where the ages are not shown, from the rest of the entries we learn that Nagpur has 187 Zoroastrians who are senior citizens, aged over 60. Conversely those aged 14 and below number 71. The maximum number, 356, are in the 15-60 age group, accounting for more than 50 percent of the Nagpur community.

"The Nagpur Parsi Gymkhana (NPG) took upon itself the task of updating and reprinting the Directory some time back. However due to the expansion program of the Post and Telegraph Department and new electronic exchanges coming up, our work was suspended for a while,” president Shiraz Gimi mentions in his introduction to the 72-page Directory. To make the Directory "useful and informative” included therein are the contact numbers of the Parsi Agiary and the Dharamshala in Nagpur as also the telephone numbers of the public utility and emergency services in the city. Four pages have been devoted to a listing of the Parsi dharamshalas and sanatoria in India.
Acknowledging joint honorary secretary Rusi Godha’s hard work, Sohrab Kanga’s efforts in compilation and Keki Bala’s tedious work of proof reading, Gimi conveyed his "thanks to all the committee members of the NPG for the efforts they made to fill up and collect the forms” and to "our advertisers for their financial support.” Sixteen of the 72 pages in the Directory carried advertisements of local enterprises. Working with Gimi on NPG’s executive committee are vice president Thrity Patel, honorary secretary Mehroo Watchmaker, honorary treasurer Narges Desai, Godha, and members Peshotan Mehta, Shiraz Doongaji, Dinshaw Mistry, Taubenda Bhagwagar, Shernaz Daver, Yasmin Taraporewala, Khushroo Poacha, Pervin Cassad and Jamashp Bapuna.
