Rich rewards

The Hurun Report’s Hurun India Rich List 2015 Awards were presented to Dr Cyrus Poonawalla and Adi Godrej, among others, at a function at Taj Land’s End in Bombay on January 19, 2016. Instituted to recognize the contribution of entrepreneurs and industrialists in business and philanthropy, the awards were presented by Rupert Hoogewerf, chairman and chief researcher of the Shanghai based Hurun Report, a leading luxury publishing and events group targeted at China’s high net worth individuals. "People aren’t considered truly rich until anointed by Hurun Report,” wrote columnist Malavika Sangghavi in Mid Day of January 20, 2016, recalling the statement in The Wall Street Journal a few years ago.

Poonawalla received the Hurun Report Impact Entrepreneur of the year 2015 award while Godrej, jointly with Dabur Group chairman Dr Anand C. Burman, was declared Most Respected Entrepreneur of the year 2015.
