“Not the apex body”

I read Jehangir Sarosh’s letter "Not the apex body” (Readers’ Forum, Parsiana, December 21, 2013) disowning the Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) as the apex body of the Zoroastrians, and your editorial comment that accompanied the letter: "The BPP is the apex body for Bombay, nowhere else.”
The ignominious manner in which the BPP has conducted itself over the past five-and-a-half years has made it forfeit its right to be called the apex body.
Sarosh’s letter was followed by another interesting one titled "Festa, fajita in BPP” by Behram Aga in which he has summed up why the BPP has lost its dignity and glory and become mired in terrible, in-house controversies and indignities.
The Parsis of greater Bombay/Thana must reject these trustees outright in 2015, as their report card is a big zero! Late-coming and bickering are the two hallmarks of the current BPP trustees. Corroding assets is another, besides having skeletons in the cupboard.
