"Keki Mistry-led HDFC’s (Housing Development Finance Corporation) standalone profit rises 11 percent in January-March on retail loan growth,” reports The Times of India, May 7, 2014. Mistry is HDFC’s vice chairman and chief executive officer. The net profit stood at Rs 1,723 crore for the January-March 2014 quarter (Q4FY14) compared to Rs 1,555 crore a year earlier, due mainly to good demand for housing loans from individual home buyers and a tight control on non-performing assets, the paper adds.

Nisa Godrej reportedly takes her two-month-old son Zoran to the Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GPCL) office at Vikhroli in Bombay when she goes there to attend meetings in the midst of her maternity leave. "I have taken him a few times but that’s because I have been able to set up a nursery for him in the office. I guess I am lucky to have the support and infrastructure to be able to do this … I think it’s important that companies provide as much support as they can at this stage in a woman’s life,” The Economic Times quotes the young mother in its April 2, 2014 edition. Godrej is executive director and leads innovation strategy for the company. She also oversees corporate strategy and human capital function for Godrej Industries and associate companies.She married Kalpesh Mehta, a Wharton graduate who runs a real estate venture in India, in a low profile, not-so-big-fat Indian wedding at her parents Adi and Parmeshwar Godrej’s beach side bungalow in Juhu last year.
