“At a low ebb”
"At a low ebb”
I am surprised to note that there was some objection to Fariborz Rahnamoon addressing the 10th World Zoroastrian Congress (10WZC) in Bombay on the false claim that he is a not a Zoroastrian ("At a low ebb,” Parsiana, December 21, 2013). Even though Rahnamoon is a born Zoroastrian, how can we ever forget that what little we know about our religion has come to us from non-Zoroastrian scholars and professors. I assume that the purpose of the 10WZC was to improve the knowledge and understanding about our religion. If some people know our religion better, they should be most welcome without having to face such petty prejudices.

Fariborz Rahnamoon addressing the 10th World Zoroastrian Congress
It is no secret that at the 10WZC some of the invited dignitaries and the Press were non-Zoroastrian. If there is any taboo about non-Zoroastrian speakers it should be removed for future conferences. The so-called stigma of being non-Zoroastrian should be gracefully deleted from Zoroastrian culture. Zoroaster considered all humans as equal.
