“At a low ebb”

We now have yet another example of how low people can sink to achieve their ignoble ends ("At a low ebb,” Parsiana, December 21, 2013). It is evident that the objection to a well-respected (Iranian) Zardushti was on the pretext that Fariborz Rahnamoon is a clandestine convert to Zoroastrianism. Converts — excluding Rahnamoon who was born and bred within a Zardushti family — are known to be more zealous in their adopted faith than all the pretend "born Jarthostis” put together. Besides, Zarathushtra very clearly enjoined conversion — thrice, in unambiguous contexts — and allusively many more times. Those who refute this willfully deny Mazda, Zarathushtra and his Gathic teachings.
The self-serving Bombay dhongis (frauds) have long labored under two handicaps — a burdensome chip on one shoulder balanced by a massive ego on the other.
Rahnamoon lectured on the Gathas, which any informed Zoroastrian should have welcomed. Instead, we have an anti-Gathic impostor questioning the bona fides of the speaker and subject.
These dhongis are destroying the very basis on which the Sage’s universalist message is founded.
