Continue with the Congress

With the 10th World Zoroastrian Congress on stream as a result of intervention by concerned members of the community, the Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) has issued a statement signed by all seven trustees emphasizing the decision. The press release, sent to Parsiana by Godrej Dotivala, public relations officer of the BPP reads:
"At a meeting of the board of trustees of the BPP held at the residence of Dr Cyrus Poonawalla on Sunday, December 1, 2013 it was unanimously agreed to go ahead with the 10th World Zoroastrian Congress.
"It was resolved that the Organizing Committee of the 10th World Zoroastrian Congress will continue to manage and be in overall charge of the Congress but will induct Dr Cyrus Poonawalla as chairman and Dr Nadir Godrej as vice chairman of this Committee.
"Dr Poonawalla and Dr Godrej record their appreciation of the confidence reposed in them by all the trustees and the special efforts of all to come together in order to ensure that the Congress goes ahead and is a grand success.”
