Congress concert
Let your voice be heard
At Parsiana’s request several global leaders have emailed their response to the earlier decision of the four trustees to postpone/cancel the Tenth World Zoroastrian Congress scheduled to be held in Bombay this December end.
The 10th World Zoroastrian Congress (10WZC) is a community event — not a Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) event. The BPP is only the facilitator and coordinator to make it happen. If they cannot manage it, in all fairness, even at this stage, they should hand it over to a committee of respected community leaders from across the world who are willing and able to take up the challenge. Whatever the provocation and circumstances, no one can be allowed to hold the community to ransom by threatening to postpone/cancel the 10WZC, thereby bringing disrepute to the community as a whole.

Yazdi Tantra: "hand it over to a committee"
It will be in the interest of the community to set aside all personal allegiances and resolve to move forward. The show must go on. Many eminent personalities in India and abroad have suggested practical solutions and offered help. This needs to be worked upon quickly.
The time has come for all right thinking members to stand up and be counted. I have set up an online poll at www.zoroastrians.net for community members to participate in. Please pass it on to others, so that their voice can be heard.
For once, for this important event, let us put the community first!
