Statues of ancestors
It may be of interest to those who have marble or bronze busts/statues of their ancestors that these were possibly made by the famous Indian sculptor Rao Bahadur Ganpatrao K. Mhatre. His great-grandson, Dr Hemant P. Pathare is researching for a biography on his great-grandfather and is requesting the community for photographs of these figures. He informs that on the back of the statue you will find the name and date, if it has been executed by G. K. Mhatre.
He requires photographs taken at a good resolution from the front, the two sides and the back where the name will be. These should be sent to Pathare by email at: hpathare@yahoo.com Due acknowledgement will be given in the book.
Please come forward to assist Pathare in his quest.
