Congress logo design
The Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) has at last woken up to the need to get cracking on organizing the 10th World Zoroastrian Congress to be held in Bombay in December 2013 with its chief executive officer Mehli Colah appealing to budding designers in the community to participate in a contest to create a logo for the Congress.
The theme of the Congress is "Zoroastrianism in the 21st Century: Nurturing growth and affirming our identity.” Colah writes, in an e-mail: "In order to create a platform for creativity, the organizing committee (of the Congress) has decided to host an international competition open to all Parsi/Irani Zoroastrians, in all parts of the world, to design the logo of the Congress.” The winner of the contest will receive Rs 1,00,000.
Each participating entry of the logo should be accompanied by a paragraph explaining the creator’s vision. Entries will be judged by an eminent panel and the winner will be suitably acknowledged at the Congress. The online entry form along with terms and conditions are available on the BPP website www.bombayparsipunchayet.com and the last date for submitting the logo design is July 31, 2012.
