Presentation on Gathas

On June 27-28, 2009, a Gatha colloquium was organized in New York in which 12 scholars presented their views on different facets of these scriptures.

I had the good fortune to attend the colloquium and also the opportunity to have my presentation, "Understanding Zarathushtra’s Gathas,” vetted by two scholars for its accuracy. In the Gathas, Zarathushtra details several principles that have made Zoroastrianism the most rational religion in the world and, more important, one that is ideally suited to fit the yearnings of the modern man.

My Power Point presentation comprising about 70 slides takes around 50 minutes excluding questions and answers and concludes with a prayer song. I do not claim to be a scholar or preacher of religion. This presentation is a compilation of exact extracts from the books and publications. It contains hardly anything that is my own.

As a service to the community and the religion, I am offering to show this presentation to any group of people (a minimum of 10-15) anywhere in India. An LCD projector and a venue must be arranged by those interested. I am able to bear my travel and other costs. Those interested should contact me at the following telephone numbers: 020-26832730, mobile: 09371006685, or by e-mail. KERSEE K. KABRAJI
