“Gatha talk”

I have read "Gatha talk” (Events and Personalities, Parsiana, December 7, 2011). While the item covers the talk as an event, it falls short of conveying the various messages given by Zarathushtra in the Gathas, about which I had spoken. These messages can act as guidelines to our minuscule community which is unfortunately divided into factions like orthodox and reformist.
Some of the salient messages put forth by me in the presentation, supported by the relevant stanzas, are.
Freedom of choice and will — Zarathushtra left it to each individual to accept what appealed to his/her intelligence and conscience.
Acceptance into Zoroastrianism — Zarathushtra’s philosophy of life is meant for all mankind and not for a small tribe of people. (All our religious scriptures state that there is no bar in accepting anyone into Zoroastrianism.)
The spirit of independent inquiry — not to accept anything blindly.
Equality of the sexes, and certainly no discrimination against females.
It is rather sad that our priests have remained mere "ceremony masters” rather than preachers of Zarathushtra’s religion as proclaimed by him in his Gathas. Do any of them teach Zarathushtra’s religion? We, the followers, survive on just good thoughts, good words and good deeds. But is that all? Is it not high time that this small community wakes up to the full message of Zarathushtra? What can be the fate of any community which disregards the proclamations of its own Prophet?
I sincerely believe that all current problems facing the community will vanish automatically if we choose the path shown by Zarathushtra in the Gathas.
