“Problems in Poona - II”

Thank you for the article "Problems in Poona – II” (Parsiana, March 21, 2009) that amply clarified my position.

There is, however, one remark of former Poona Parsee Panchayat trustee Eruch Irani, regarding the utilization of land (on Survey No 603), that needs to be examined. In the original deed of settlement of Khan Saheb Aspandiar Irani it is mentioned (para 3, pages 7 and 8) that "If any Zarthosti expresses his or her willingness to put up there residential quarters for poor and middle class Parsee or Irani Zarthosties…” This clearly shows that the land is meant for the "poor and middle class” and not only for the "poor and needy” Zoroastrians, as was the case with Survey No 607.
