Banaji Agiary is 300

Bombay’s oldest agiary, the Banaji Limji Agiary, which was built in 1709, will be completing 300 years on mah Adar, roz Adar, April 24, 2009.
The Agiary is in need of repairs/renovation and facelift of this heritage structure so that the patrons and worshippers who come here may not be put to any great inconvenience in performance of religious ceremonies and prayers held daily and on muktad days.
The trustees would like to take this opportunity to collect funds not only for the current repairs/renovation but also for the reserve fund. As our holy fire sees its first dawn of its 301st year the trustees earnestly appeal to all the members of the community to come forward and help in this noble cause with generous donations.
Cheques, made out to Banaji Limji Agiary Trust may be sent to the Seth Banaji Limji Agiary Trust, 17, Banaji Mansion, Banaji Street, Fort, Bombay 400001. Cash payments may be deposited in the box kept inside the Agiary premises. All community members are invited to attend the jashan ceremony at 9.30 a.m. in the Agiary on April 24, 2009.
