Zoroastrian Club

The premises of the Zoroastrian Club of Secunderabad-Hyderabad were impressively illuminated and adorned with beautiful floral decorations on the occasion of Jamshedi Navroz on March 21, 2008, informs Kerfegar B. Antia, honorary secretary of the Club, which was founded in 1930.

At the well attended function the Club’s cricket team, which had been runners-up at the Jiji Irani Challenge Cup cricket tournament in Calcutta, received mementos from president Rohinton Noria and Antia. Speaking at the function, Antia thanked Gusti Noria for having spent a substantial amount to have the Club’s office block renovated, as also for the lovely prizes sponsored by Estelle fashion jewelry to be given away to the tambola winners, informs the write-up.

The Club proposes to open a fast food center shortly which would serve Parsi cuisine for the benefit of its members, the write-up reveals. The assemblage then sat down to a sumptuous dinner subsidized by the Club and catered by the popular Abad Wadia.
