Double victory

Surat’s Khushroo Kadva and Yohan Bharucha won the Young Zoroastrian Double Wicket Cricket tournament at the Parsee Gymkhana in Bombay on March 19, 2006. Kadva and Bharucha triumphed over Behzad Devadhwala and Neville Achhadwala of Parsee Cyclists in the final of the tournament sponsored by Airfreight, as per a synopsis of the event from Rusi Bhumgara, organizing committee member of the Young Zoroastrian Cricket Club which has its Club Tent at the Azad Maidan in Bombay.

Shahen Mistry was adjudged best batsman, Xerxes Patrawala was best bowler and Jehanbux Patel best fielder. Mistry partnering Firoze Bharucha and Soli Karanjia teaming up with Ruzbeh Amrolia were the losing semi-finalists. Young Zoroastrian Club secretary Homi Mehta thanked Jamshed Guzder for sponsorship support, the management of Parsee Gymkhana for allowing the use of their facilities free of charge and Aspi Tan-tra, Bhum­gara, Fali Shroff and Rumi Tatary for their assistance in organizing the event.
