The month of November also witnessed the XIII FOZAWAC Six-a-Side Invitation Cricket tournament at the Parsee Gymkhana grounds in Bombay. Surat Zoroastrian Club (78/3) lifted the Behram Irani Trophy, beating Navsari (60/3) in the final. Jahabux Patel of Surat was adjudged man of the tournament and picked up the best bowler prize as well. Kaizad Bhatena also of Surat was the best batsman, Navsari’s Rohin Patel the best fielder and Nagpur’s Khordad Edulji the most promising youngster.

Eight teams from outside Bombay (Ahmedabad, Baroda, Surat Zoroastrian Club, Surat Orphanage, Navsari, Bilimora, Secunderabad and Nagpur) and four from the metropolis (Parsee Cyclists, Young Zoroastrian, C. J. Colony and Gamadia Hostel) competed in the tournament sponsored by Shahrukh Kathawalla, with the Parsee Gymkhana once again providing a strong support system free of cost, as per the information from FOZAWAC.
