Chinese connections?

We are two scholars working on a project entitled "China in the making of Bombay.” This project deals with the historical connection between the China trade and the growth and development of the city of Bombay. As part of our research, we would like to get in touch with those families, particularly from the Parsi community, whose forefathers had some connection with China or the China trade at any time from the late 18th century until the first half of the 20th century. In particular, we would very much like to know if any of these persons left behind records, personal diaries, letters or other memorabilia which would throw light on the subject we are investigating.
