Suitable match
Many upcountry Parsi boys, salaried or well settled in their business and professions like medicine and engineering are not finding suitable life partners and are therefore compelled to marry out of the community. As a 28-year-old dental surgeon residing in Kota, I want to draw the attention of our community girls, their parents, the community leaders and priests to encourage our girls to move out of their baugs and community centers and see life outside Bombay and Gujarat; see how well-placed the Parsis are. The girls are not interested in settling outside Bombay and Gujarat but are willing to settle abroad in an unknown land with an unknown groom.
