Outstanding at SSC

Securing 93 percent marks at the Secondary School Certificate examination conducted in March 2003, Shahenaz Farokh Kapadia earned the 10th rank in the Surat division, mentions the Gujarat Samachar of June 17, 2003. Scoring 651 out of 700, Kapadia’s best performance was in mathematics where she got 99 out of 100. Among the other subjects where she fared equally brilliantly were science and Sanskrit, in each of which she got 97 out of 100, art, where she got 96 and social studies, 95. In Hindi she scored 85 and in English, 82, as per her marksheet. The young aspirant is planning to pursue a career in medicine.

Kapadia: class topper

As a student of Lourdes Convent, Kapadia had been topping her class every year since she was in the sixth standard, notes a press release. She has also passed her Intermediate drawing and Vardha Hindi examination with distinction. Besides writing poetry, the brilliant student enjoys reading, painting and participating in inter-school quiz competitions.
