Praying for participation
"We are conducting this survey in an effort to encourage youth participation in our congregational prayers [jashans, gahanbars (seasonal prayers), house-warming prayers, prayers for the deceased, etc],” urged a message from The North American Mobeds Council (NAMC).
Reaching out to community youth in the 18 to 40 age group, NAMC assured, "Your answers will remain confidential and will help design events that will meet the needs of our youth.” There are eight questions in the survey of which the first two — participant’s name and Zoroastrian association affiliation — are optional.

The other multiple choice questions sought respondents’ feedback on the optimal length of time for the congregational prayers; how s/he would like to participate in the prayers being performed; whether s/he would like to hear a talk from a mobed at the end of the congregational prayer; how could s/he be induced to attend the prayer service — availability of food or baby sitting facility; how s/he would prefer to pray along with the mobeds — whether from paper printout, App on cell phone, tablets, projecting the prayers with meanings. The final open question asked the respondent "What would motivate you to attend?”
