Giving with kindness
The Marketplace, an online series of events presented by the Bangalore Chapter of the World Zarathushti Chamber of Commerce from December 6-13, 2020 will raise funds for the Kinder Trust. "Our goal as members is to contribute towards the setup of the 
Trust’s physiotherapy center… While we certainly cannot expect to bear the entire burden of expenses of approximately Rs 20 lakhs for the first year, we are making a sincere attempt to bear a large part of these expenses for them,” noted an announcement on the Chapter’s website. Kinder Trust, a cosmopolitan charity, was registered in 2017 by businesswoman, entrepreneur and social activist Diana Bharucha.
The calendar of events on the Chapter’s website noted that there are two separate tracks for families and youth. The former includes participative sessions, dance workshops, sessions on catering, makeup and mixology, among others. Entertainment will be provided by actor Boman Irani, choreographer Shiamak Davar’s academy, and songster Yohann Marshall. Evening programs for children, between 5.30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m., will focus mainly on story telling and creativity. Bookings are open on https://themarketplace.wzcc.org/ for individual events at prices ranging from Rs 50 to Rs 500. President of the Bangalore Parsee Zoroastrian Anjuman, Air Chief Marshal Fali Major (Retd) is slated to kick off the symposium on the first day.
