Idawala Agiary appeal
Due to the ravages of time, the structure of the 173-year-old Bai Avabai Ardeshir Wadia (Idawala) Agiary at Dhobi Talao is in need of extensive reconstruction. Established on August 28, 1843, the fire temple has served the religious needs of Zoroastrians of the locality. Managing trustee Godrej Dotivala, on behalf of his co-trustees Kersi N. Wadia, Veera N. Wadia, Silloo Billimoria, Ervad Gayomard Panthaki, Dr Minoo Bamboat, Tanaz Kerawalla and Nozer Meherji, has appealed to the community for donations towards the repairs and upkeep of the fire temple. Donations may be sent by cheque in favor of "Bai Avabai Wadia (Idawala) Agiary Trust” to Dotivala at 904-B Surya Apartments, 53 Warden Road, Bombay 400026.
