Idawala Agiary is 174
There are many different types of jashans which are held throughout the year —parav nu jashan, Tirangan jashan, Dae mah nu jashan, Jashan e Sadeh, Navroz nu jashan, gahanbar nu jashan, etc, explained Ervad Asphandiar Dadachanji, panthaky of the Vachaghandhy Agiary to a gathering at the 174th anniversary celebrations of the Bai Avabai Ardeshir Wadia (Idawala) Agiary in Hamal Wadi, Dhobi Talao on July 2, 2016. He also demonstrated the flower ritual done during a jashan and spoke about the significance of the Afrin prayers at the end of the ceremony A write-up on the occasion was sent to Parsiana by Godrej Dotivala, managing trustee of the Agiary.

Prior to Dadachanji’s address, a jashan had been performed by the young panthaky, Ervad Shahvir Dastur and other priests.
On behalf of the trustees, Kersi N. Wadia, Veera N. Wadia, Silloo Billimoria, Dr Minoo Bamboat and Ervad Gayomard Panthaki, Dotivala thanked philanthropic members of the community, especially Ervad Burjor Antia, Pearl Daroowalla, Panthaki, Khorshed Dalal, Arnavaz Panthaki, Burjore Katrak, Coomi Baria, Jamshed Master, Nargis, Minoo, Kersi and Zenobia Aspar, Soonu Chinoy and others for their valuable donations towards the repairs and maintenance of the heritage structure of the Agiary.
