Meherangan parav
The Meherangan parav celebration at Lalbaug’s M. J. Wadia Agiary on February 29, 2016, Meher mah, Meher roz, was a day for double rejoicing as it also marked the ninth salgirah of the renovated Agiary with its state-of-the-art hall, mentions a write-up sent to Parsiana by Roxanne Desai who also compered the function. The Agiary was originally established in 1863. A jashan, followed by a song in praise of Meher Yazad by Nariman Mody and monajats led by Jamshed Kotwal marked the occasion. A film shot in Iran, Bizaan-Manizeh, was screened.

The Structured Religious Course initiated by chairman trustee Kersi Limathwalla and conducted by Ervad (Dr) Ramiyar Karanjia has been beneficial to many with the number of participants going up to 190, Limathwalla informed the gathering.
Chief guest and speaker Ervad (Dr) Parvez Bajan also stated the Structured Course must be encouraged. He urged parents and grandparents to urge the young to attend religious classes, the write-up notes. "We should be proud of our Zoroastrian religion, prayers, culture, etiquette, history, and at every step strive to preserve and protect our religious identity,” he exhorted.
The ninth edition will be conducted on the first Sunday of every month. This Course will commence with an introduction to the Gathas and progress to stories of Iranian history from the Shahnameh. The focal point will be the attributes of Sarosh Yazad, mentions the write-up.
