The good mind

The repository of every good — and bad — thing is in the mind. The greatest creation is the creator himself. His first and greatest creation was the good mind (vohu mana) as the Zoroastrian scriptures reveal. So powerful is it that as John Milton wrote: "The mind is its own place,/ And in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven.”
The earliest education, which starts in infancy, is the cultivation of a good mind for "just as the twig is bent, the tree is inclined.”
Ancient and medieval Persia (Iran) had a succession of good rulers because they had good and noble minds. Their heads ruled their hearts, resulting in peace, prosperity and piety. As the good mind receded, the fall of Persia advanced!
