A Major loss

We deeply mourn the sad and sudden demise of a noble, selfless and popular homeopathic consultant Dr Jehangir H. Major at the comparatively young age of 62. He passed away on March 6, 2016. It was only during the last month of his life that he was diagnosed with cancer of the liver. His demise is a great loss to his wife Firuza, son Vistasp, daughter Vahista and all his patients.

Dr Jehangir Major: cheerful and caring

Major was never greedy for money and treated many patients free of charge. After a full working week he would serve on Sundays in an honorary capacity with charitable dispensaries. He was connected with the Nowroze Baug Play Centre Charitable Homoeopathic Dispensary right from its inception on September 29, 1979, serving there for 37 years until the end. He was instrumental in establishing the Dispensary, ensuring its smooth working and also trained a number of volunteers to assist there. Thanks to his selfless efforts we can now say with pride that the Nowroze Baug Dispensary is among the best.
Major was also associated with the charitable dispensary of Avatar Meher Baba Bombay Centre and Chikalwadi, Tardeo. During the week he worked with the Tata Power Company Limited as consulting homeopath and was extremely popular because of his cheerful and caring disposition.
