RIP, Mehli Colah
We and the Parsis of Vesu village are shocked and sad at the untimely demise of the kind and sincere managing trustee of the Vesu Zoroastrian Parsi Anjuman Fund, Mehli Pervez Colah.
I still remember a young Colah, 27 years ago, walking up to my ailing father, carrying files, handling the trust’s work and accounts efficiently, explaining patiently to him the year’s work of our public trust.
Every year he, along with our president Keki Minoo Lakdawala would visit the remote Vesu village and personally hand over cash to needy Parsi residents at the otla of the Vesu Agiary, along with Ervad Nariman P. Karanjia.
Colah was not only a capable trustee but also a good friend, a caring husband and an impeccable father. He had a genial personality and would promptly solve any problem.
The residents of village Vesu express heartfelt sympathy to his loving wife Anaita, daughter Azmin and the rest of his family who have suffered a terrible blow. May God grant them the strength to move on in life with vigor and courage as he did. SOONNOO JAMSHEDJI VESUNA
KEKI MINOO LAKDAWALA
