Accolades in print

Bombay based JAK Printers Private Limited (JAK) was once again adjudged the Best Book Printer of the year at the recently concluded PrintWeek India Awards for 2015. This is JAK’s fifth award, after four consecutive wins between 2010 and 2013.
Aspi Forbes, co-founder and director of the company states in an email to Parsiana that "hard case coffee table books are (the company’s) speciality” and goes on to add that "the varied range of book binding is unmatched.” The imaginatively designed website of the company states that they "have evolved in technology, reputation and size but (their) roots are entrenched in integrity.” The 31-year-old company operates from a one acre property in central Bombay.
The awards were launched by PrintWeek India in the year 2009 to celebrate the best in the Indian print industry. According to their website, the awards "judge the quality of output from different sectors, such as labels, magazines, catalogs and books.” In all, 20 quality awards are given each year.
Forbes adds that JAK were, in addition, adjudged Best Printer of the Year in Madras in September 2015 at The National Awards for Excellence in Printing instituted by the All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP).
