Winning impression
JAK Printers Private Limited has won, for the fifth consecutive time, the Best National Printer award. The 8th Ricoh National Awards for Excellence in Printing (NAEP) 2013 award ceremony was held in Poona on August 10, 2013 at Hotel Westin in Koregaon Park. Noted lyricist and script-writer Javed Akhtar, who was the chief guest, presented the trophy to entrepreneurs Khushru Patel and Aspi Forbes and the JAK team, making them the first print business house in India to achieve this distinction five times in a row.
Organized by the All India Federation of Master Printers, NAEP are the only awards recognized and supported by the Government of India. Fred Poonawala of Comart Lithographers was the chairman of NAEP-2013 and welcomed the gathering. There were more than 1,850 entries from all parts of India this year. JAK Printers participated in 21 categories with 55 nominations, winning 13 gold, 20 silver and 22 certificates of merit which is, as per their press release, an all time record.
