Happiness in service
"Ushtate — Happiness Unto All” was the slogan for the Lions Club’s October Service Week for which the Lions Club of Byculla received the award for Best Club in the District, having conducted need based projects for over 34 institutions doing service worth of over Rs 14 lakhs. Though the Club conducts similar projects throughout the year, president Capt Percy Master noted in an email sent to Parsiana that between October 1 and 11, 2015, medical camps, donation of medical equipment to various hospitals and supplying materials to various needy organizations was done, along with one major project on October 19. In a first for the Club, projects were carried out simultaneously in Navsari and Bombay.
Tehmas Mistry was instrumental in organizing the October Service Activities under Master’s stewardship, assisted by Sharukh Marolia. The projects were funded by donations received from Club members and well-wishers, Master appreciated.
