Cremation works best

We, in the North American diaspora, who only have a choice between burial and cremation, have long felt that cremation is the better way. We have wondered why the leaders of the Parsi community in India have opposed this method for the disposal of the deceased, and attacked those priests who have performed the last rites for those opting for cremation. Indeed, we have been castigated for espousing cremation in North America!
Therefore, it gives us great pleasure in extending our congratulations to all those involved in the creation of The Prayer Hall at Worli for the use of those opting for methods of disposal other than dakhmenashini. KOBAD ZAROLIA
