Sooi’s samuh bhojan

A samuh bhojan (community dinner) was organized at the Parsi Sanatorium in Ahmedabad on May 24, 2015 by Dilshad Nariman Sooi, in memory of her dear departed ones. A jashan was performed by Ervads Farokh H. Dastur and Berjis Shroff on the occasion, which was attended by several persons who later partook of the chasni and malido, Sooi mentions in an email forwarded to Parsiana by Brig Jahangir P. Anklesaria (retd), president of the Ahmedabad Parsi Panchayat.
In his brief but informative talk Dastur spoke on the Ahunavad Gatha. Ervad Vazaan C. Dastur was felicitated on being ordained as a navar. This was followed by tambola and dinner comprising vegetable pulao and dar, ravo, papeta nu bafat, akuri, kachuber and cold drinks by MEK caterers and Malcum P. Bastawala, the email notes.
