Iranshah, the holy flame
It was 1959 when I first saw the flame,/ Radiant, glowing, Iranshah the holy name./ Some years were light, some very tough,/ Life moved on, smooth and rough.
The baby I carried then is a dad today./ All the years wrapped up in His holy ray./ Today at 85, I bow to Him again/ Thanking Him for seeing me through sunshine and rain.
With Iranshah above us, all the way/ The Parsi community will never fade away,/ The community may have this fear,/ No it won’t! Iranshah is near.
Iranshah in India has blessed all these years/ So let us Jiyo Parsi and wipe away those fears./ Singing Ahura Mazda’s name all life through,/ And He will never ever abandon you. MEHER D. DHONDY
