“Zoroastrians and Parsis”
In Parsiana dated February 21, 2015, there was a book promotion advertisement for Behram T. Dastur’s Zoroastrianism and Parsis — a re-look. In the synopsis of the book published therein it has been mentioned "and the good work done by WZO (World Zoroastrian Organisation) and ZTFI’s (Zoroastrian Trust Funds of India) India Chapters (under Tamboly) are worth pondering over.”
Whilst I am grateful to Dastur for referring so kindly about the work my team and I have been doing, it is necessary to clarify that I have not been connected with ZTFI or involved in any of their projects. The credit for whatever they have achieved belongs to the individuals who administer that institution. The only involvement that I have had with ZTFI was to have assisted them to facilitate they being allocated an office in a trust building where I was earlier a trustee.
Also, whilst I am a member of WZO-India, I am in no way connected with their administration or management in any capacity. My involvement is with the World Zoroastrian Organisation Trust, the WZO Trust Funds, and the WZO Trust for Women and Children, all three of which are registered as public welfare charitable institutions managed by their own independent board of trustees.
