Measures for minors
Two new minor account saving schemes of The Zoroastrian Co-operative Bank Limited were inaugurated by entrepreneur, model and actress Perizaad Zorabian Irani at its newly renovated branch in Bandra West on January 15, 2015. The schemes, Little Wonders and Gen Y, were unveiled by chairperson of the Bank Shernaz D. Mehta, mentions a press release by Pinaz Dhan Pardiwala, vice president, credit. Also present at the event were members of the board of directors of the Bank, officials and customers, senior citizens and businessmen.

There was an encouraging response to the schemes on the very first day with a number of minor accounts being opened, both savings and fixed deposits. Little Wonders is meant for children aged below 10 years while Gen Y is for those aged between 10 and 18 years. The multi-state scheduled bank which operates 18 branches across Maharashtra and Gujarat, offers personalized ATM card with free ATM usage, personalized cheque book, internet banking facility (viewing), SMS alerts, local remittance [pay orders, demand drafts and RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement), NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer)] facility, the press release notes. Users also receive value added services such as automated money transfer and daily sweep facilities. Other benefits include concessional rates of interests for education loans under the Gen Y scheme.
The Bank received an overwhelming response from parents to make their child a One in a Lakh Kid by investing in the Bank’s recurring deposit scheme to secure their offspring’s future.
