Funds for dharamshala
In the Mandvi Mangrol taluka there are 450-475 Zarthoshtis, of which 225 are permanent residents. We have an agiary, dharamshala (Adal Baug) and Doongerwadi, though the last has ceased to function since the last 10 years. Dastoor House is the structure right next to the agiary and is used as a residence by priests and caretakers of the fire temple. Most of the Parsis here are poor and live in tribal/jungle areas. Hence, there are limited funds for regular maintenance and running of these institutions.
There is no boundary wall on the north side of the Doongerwadi premises and trespassers are using the land in our absence. The Mandvi Mangrol Taluka Zarthosti Anjuman Fund would be grateful for donations to enable us to construct a boundary wall to ensure the safety of our lands.

Recently Kaizad Sethna of Ankleshwar had our agiary renovated and painted, and it now looks fabulous. Our dharamshala, constructed in 1910, is a heritage structure which requires extensive repairs and renovation. The flooring is of cement without any tiles and needs maintenance every four or five years. The total sum required for this purpose works out to Rs 31,76,500. The dharamshala is used by Parsis for occasions like marriages and for other gatherings. After it is renovated we hope to earn better revenue from renting it out.
