Parsiana provides a good semimonthly update of Parsi happenings all over the world. Keep up the good coverage. Shortcomings: Youth is the future of the community. Highlight achievements of youngsters to motivate others. Emphasize the excellent career opportunities available in all India services like the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service, Indian Revenue Service and the defence services where our youth can make a mark.

The editors reply:
Free coaching classes offered by the Bombay Parsi Punchayet to tutor youngsters for these openings did not meet with much response.

Parsiana’s strengths: It is the only Parsi oriented magazine and very informative with interesting and varied topics. There are no shortcomings! A suggestion: Reduce the advertisement rates so many more companies can afford to advertise and benefit the magazine too.

The editors reply:
As it is our rates are the lowest among the Parsi publications. Our circulation may be less but the quality of paper and printing adds to costs. For deserving causes, trusts, etc we do on request consider a reduction. Being an independent publication our only sources of revenue are advertising, sponsorships, subscription and donations.

Parsiana’s strengths: Reporting events happening in our community in India and abroad. Shortcomings: Nil.
DINYAR M. DUMASIA

Parsiana is one of the very few therapies for us — the dying patient in the ICU named Bawa. Shortcomings: Very little humor. Reports of infighting are saddening; unsung heroes forgotten. M. A. IRANI
Madras

Strengths: Comprehensive and informative coverage of Zoroastrians worldwide helps to create a sense of belonging and bonding. Shortcomings: Articles and more coverage on the youth could help strengthen the future of the Zoroastrian community. BOMMY J. ITALIA
Hyderabad

Parsiana gives portable reading.
DHUN F. LAKDAWALA

Parsiana’s strengths: Impartial reporting of community matters. Shortcomings: Too polite when handling community trouble-makers. Capt R. M. A. MODY

Parsiana’s strengths: Unbiased reporting on all Zoroastrian matters over the world. Shortcomings: Edited versions of news could give wider coverage to more community related matters.
