Parsiana’s strengths: It keeps you informed of community matters and incidents, but is unfortunately not very popular with the younger generation. Shortcomings: Poona, which boasts of the second highest Parsi population, does not get sufficient coverage. The magazine is more Bombay centric.

SHAHRUKH K. DARUWALLA

Parsiana’s strengths: Truthful investigative journalism with up to date coverage of events. Perfect formatting of pages. No currying favour of personalities. Shortcomings: No children’s page; very limited attention to humor; too much reliance on past community glory; scanty coverage of international events.
NADIRSHAW K. DHONDY

Parsiana’s strengths: Balanced reporting, open and progressive approach to certain contentious issues. Shortcomings: Something missing to hold the interest of youth. ERUCH ADI ENGINEER

Four comments refer to the young not being catered to by the publication. The magazine is aimed for the mature, thinking reader. The young may turn to it when their interest in community matters grows. In the meanwhile parents/grandparents can inculcate an interest by reading stories from the Shahnameh and other literature, especially ones written for children. They can also watch films on the subject on Youtube and Zoroastrian websites.

Parsiana’s strengths: Global coverage of Zoroastrians is commendable. Drastic improvement is required for the disposal of the dead with dignity at Doongerwadi. Your magazine as our mouthpiece can bring pressure on the new board of trustees at the Bombay Parsi Punchayet. Shortcomings: For our youth, try to give life sketches of prominent Parsi/Irani Zoroastrians of the 20th and 21st centuries rather than of the 18th and 19th centuries.
ABAN P. PATEL

Parsiana’s strengths: Interesting coverage of local and international events. Gives an insight into Parsis living abroad, their non-Parsi spouses and their half Parsi children. May God save our community. Shortcomings: None.
ZARIR B. SETHNA

Parsiana’s strengths: Excellent. Most readable and very balanced. Shortcomings: None. MINOO SHROFF

Parsiana’s strengths: Parsi community news. Shortcomings: Some business articles, music, paintings may be included as well as information relating to loan facilities for fresh entrepreneurship.
PERSEUS SOLI VACHHA

Parsiana’s strengths: Its global coverage of all Parsi/Zoroastrian activities, events, personalities with unbiased, objective and up-to-date reporting and coverage. Shortcomings: Nil. PHIROZ M. WRITER
