Calendar of gahanbars

In days of yore, community gahanbars were regularly held in Bombay as well as the towns and villages of Gujarat and were attended by all, sethias and ordinary people alike, almost out of a sense of duty. This tradition, like so many others which once enriched our community, is slowly withering away.
There are still gahanbars held in the moffusil areas, some of which are announced and then cancelled due to insufficient participation. I am personally aware of one such instance a few months back. I feel that there are people who would like to attend these gahanbars provided they are informed about them in good time. If participation by such enthusiastic souls is encouraged or facilitated, the tradition may not die out after all.
The chief difficulty seems to be that one does not know when a gahanbar will be held, because there is little or no publicity. One often hears about a gahanbar after the event. I wonder whether Parsiana could publish a calendar of gahanbars, especially of those held in the towns and villages of Gujarat. This, I feel, would help in increasing participation.
