Room for researcher
My name is Håkon Tandberg, and I am a PhD researcher from Norway studying Zoroastrianism. I had visited Bombay in 2008 for research on the Parsis, and will now return for six weeks in February. I wonder if anyone in Bombay will be able to house me as a paying guest from February 13 to March 27, 2012.
I’m also looking for two (or more) Parsis (men or women) who would be interested in working with me as research assistants during this period. Their work, in two to four hour shifts, as suitable, would be to observe religious worship in an agiary, in agreement with the specific panthaky/head priest. The remuneration would be about Rs 200 per hour, negotiable. The candidates should be fluent in English (and Gujarati), have the ability to cooperate and have some religious knowledge/literacy.
