“Glorifying the gara”

I read with interest your review of Peonies and Pagodas ("Glorifying the gara,” Books, Parsiana, October 7, 2010) as one of the editors, Tulsi Vatsal is a close friend. You mention that both the editors, Vatsal and Shilpa Shah, are "products of Parsi schools.” This is not so.

Vatsal did her schooling at Queen Mary High School in Bombay and was a brilliant student, standing first all through her school years. She went on to Elphinstone College and topped the University of Bombay in her BA examinations, finally completing her education at Oxford.
