“Tata’s select nine”
I saw the write-up about Anosh Pardiwala, incorrectly referred to as Patrawalla, ("Tata’s select nine," Parsiana, September 7, 2012). He is one of the nine Zoroastrian scholars selected by the J. N. Tata Endowment for higher education of Indians, amongst whom the five women scholars outnumbered men.
Anosh is the younger son of Dr Behram S. Pardiwala, a renowned cardiologist who is attached to several hospitals in Bombay including the B. D. Petit Parsee General Hospital and Breach Candy Hospital. The Pardiwala families have expertise in medicine, law and accountancy. However, Anosh has branched off into engineering. R. J. DAMANWALA
